The Bloodstone Fen bonus mission is a real pain (Guild Wars)

I spent a good part of this evening trying to get through this bonus mission and failed miserably every time. I’m going to have to come back to it when my character can survive it solo rather than having to drag around henchmen that can’t be controlled. For those who have no idea what I’m talking about with this mission, the objective is to plant four seeds around an area to awaken some druid spirits so that they can congregate and summon the elder guardian.

The tricky part is that these sleepy spirits are guarded by these creatures called jungle guardians. The mission will fail if any of these guardians are killed.

Now the party henchmen seem to just love to fight and try to kill off these guardians and succeeded a couple times, even when I’d had three seeds planted and was trying to get to the spot to plant the last seed. Then of course, my character being a ranger, I got lost on the way to that seed platform, ran into four guardians at a time and died. Cancelled the party flag which allowed them to run up so the healer could resurrect, but then someone ended up killing a guardian before I could plant the flag elsewhere to lure the party away from the guardians.

Unfortunately, this character still isn’t able to solo this bonus part of the mission because of the scarabs that spawn.

I ultimately just went ahead and finished the main part of the mission and will need to come back to the bonus when this character is stronger and can run through stuff without dying.

If you’re reading and you’ve run into something frustrating in your game, please feel free to rant a bit about it in the comments. I love hearing what others are doing in their games!

You just need a good Monk to help you keep them alive is all. Add me in GW: Phunk E Monky

Thanks! There are times when it seems like the kindest thing to do for them is kill them all off though. 🙂
